Questions
Most visitors see the valley well in a single day. The Baker's Bend Safari takes 4–5 hours if you only have half a day, while the Belihuloya Full Package fills a full day (8+ hours) and covers more ground, including Pahanthudawa Waterfall and Samanala Wewa. If you're staying overnight, one day of safari plus time to relax by the river is usually enough.
Choose the Baker's Bend Safari (Rs. 18,000, 4–5 hours) for a shorter half-day trip focused on the horseshoe viewpoint, Nonpareil Falls and the rivers. Choose the Belihuloya Full Package (Rs. 25,000, full day) if you have the whole day free and want to add Pahanthudawa Waterfall and Samanala Wewa to the route.
Belihuloya can be visited year-round. Mornings tend to have clearer valley views before the mist rolls in, and the drier months make the estate roads easier going. We run both safaris daily and will advise on conditions when you book.
Both tours include the 4x4 safari jeep, driver, fuel, and all entrance and ticket fees for every safari stop on the route — the price you see is the price you pay. The only exception is kayaking at Samanala Wewa on the Full Package, which is a separate paid activity.
No. Kayaking at Samanala Wewa is available on-site as a separate paid activity and is not included in the Rs. 25,000 Full Package price.
We pick up from Belihuloya, or directly from your hotel, resort or villa in the Belihuloya / Kalupahana / Haputale area — just let us know when you book.
